Deutsche Messe, D872 (Franz Schubert)
"Zum Evangelium und Credo" -
This performance is dedicated to the Victims of the Virginia Tech. University shootings.
The German text speaks about the first moments of creation, where the Lord say, "Let there be Light, and then there was Light." The sound of praise and thankfulness is all around...
I hope that this beautiful music and poem will bring some healing to the families and friends of the victims of these senseless shootings - and comfort to the souls of the victims, themselves...
This is the third piece in the "German Mass" written by Franz Schubert. "Live performance" sung by Dorothea Fayne (Mezzo-Soprano) from the Franziskushof in Zehdenick (Brandenburg). Amadea is being accompanied by Siegfried Andreae (Guitar) and Dorothea Andreae (Baroque-Cello). Easter 2007.
