Well clearly you are totally mixed up, the first part of your comment is correct. Unfortunately the reason we are in this mess is because of the Congress. Have you ever heard of Communisms, if you haven't you might wanna read up on how life was under a state run regime.

This totally angers me - IF they would JUST open the places for oil harvesting - THEN things would change and the OIL companies could re-invest their NET profits into exploration and harvesting.
So that instead of relying on the explosive Middle East for oil - we could rely on ourselves.
I'm going to have to write her ... I'd like to see the Congress TAKE over a private business in America!!!

Maxine waters comments were totally and completely unacceptable. However, I would llike to thank her for publicly finally disclosing the true nature of the Democrat Party, a nature which I have seen for over 50 years.

As to her specific comments....DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT, not oil, nor any other industry. You think you had a problem last summer of imigrant reform. You ain't see nothing yet and that is a promise, this American is fully prepared to stand and fight against ther likes of Maxine Waters and any other member of Congres sharing those views of which there are many. I have no problems with her race, but she is either an idiot, or more interested in her political career than doing any good. The democrats/liberals have CREATED the high gas prices by not letting us get OUR OWN OIL, build new refineries, new nuclear plants, etc. I am sick and tired of these fools trotting out these oil CEO's trying to pass them off as the villains. Everyone knows oil is a COMMODITY whose price is set by the MARKET, not oil companies. Even just PASSING a bill saying the US is going to drill again will sent the price of oil PLUMMETING, since the oil speculators will see the control of imported oil to the US will diminish. The govt gets 5x the "profits" that oil company collects, we all KNOW it is a scam, and a simple solution exists.... let us GET OUR OWN OIL!!!! JEESH!
