http://gamblerstelevision.com Hello MMA fans this is Dana Ward here with a quick hitter from Ultimate Fighting. UFC’s next fight card “JACKSON VS. GRIFFIN” will take place Saturday July 5th from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Main Event will be the UFC Light Heavyweight Title Match as Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will defend his title against Forrest Griffin.
Rampage has professional record of 28 wins and 6 losses and is making his second title defense. Jackson beat Chuck Lidell at UFC 71 in May of 2007 by TKO in less than 2 minutes to win the title. Rampage voiced confidence in recent interviews about fighting Griffin. The UFC Light Heavyweight champ felt the challenger would have problems in this fight due to his lack of chin and punching power commenting that his opponent’s main strength is his groundwork. Rampage is well known for his power slams and power punches. Forrest Griffin has a professional record of 15 wins and 4 losses with only 3 wins coming by way of KO or TKO. The challenger earned his title shot with a victory over Brazilian Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (ROO-ah) at UFC 76 by forcing Rua to submit to his rear naked choke. 7 of 15 victories by Griffin have come by submission. Forrest wants to use his footwork and work from the outside to stay away from the power of the champ.
Oddsmakers have listed Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as the minus two sixty favorite and Griffin the underdog is listed at plus 200. That will do it for now. This is Dana Ward reminding you for UFC 86 coverage with a Vegas style keep your browser aimed at
