Being a trained photographer, Philippe Grohe has long been aware of the connection between technology and beauty - an invaluable insight with regard to his position within his father's company: Hans-Grohe AG.

Philippe is in charge of the flagship brand, and has recruited international designers to help create up-market bathroom accessories. The "Raindance" model, for example, is designed to give the impression of actually being rained on. Some showerheads can cost up to 700 euros. Philippe Grohe sees his brand as the haute couture of its sector. Grit Hofmann met up with him.
