Converse Coastal Carnage continues in its second year as the skate component to the weeklong celebration of the world's top action sports athletes. The contest was free to the public and ran Friday August 6th through Sunday, August 8th. Coastal Carnage 2010 is taken to the next level, from every angle. The course, a double bowl with plenty of hips and tight corners, is twice as large this year and incorporates a new vert section that's guaranteed to keep every competitor ripping hard! The stakes are high not only on the challenging course, but also with this year's prize purse, with a total pot of ,000. The jam format is broken up into 10 qualifying rounds that pit 4 riders against each other simultaneously. Because Converse Coastal Carnage is a pro/am event, the most experienced professionals like Lance Mountain and Kenny Anderson will be seen battling it out alongside today's up and coming ams like Tommy Remillard, Curren Caples and Grant Taylor. ROAD TOUR-2 seg.2 HD - The cross country Xcorps journey continues from Boston to San Diego on the road with show host Jason Lazo crossing the Wyoming border stopping to have a beer at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar in Jackson Hole followed by a wild down slope mountain bike ride at the Idaho Grand Targhee Resort. Segment one rolls to rockabilly band Volbeat strumming a sweet tune and Jason under the massive elk antler arches in Jackson Hole. Check out the well worn saddles instead of bar stools at the Million Dollar Cowboy bar, shoot location for the drunk orangutans scene in Clint Eastwoods film Any Which Way You Can. After that Jason crosses the line into Idaho on his way to the super scenic Grand Targhee Ski Resort near Driggs Idaho. Was that a giant Idaho Spud on the back of a flat bed truck!? Xcorps 420 Series STORM at MOONLIGHT BEACH HD- Xcorps Action Sports TV is based 25 miles north of San Diego in the small seaside town of Encinitas. In this video a winter storm hits this Southern California town and the locals make the best of it! Xcorps Action Sports Show #13.) WHEELMAN- seg.3 HD- Bending the bounds of sanity this episode of the Xcorps rolls at the viewer at double blink speed with the usual action and music and a look at new products like the rim drive foot motorcycle from Australia called the Wheelman and a new skate board concept called Tierney Rides all tested hard by Xcorps host Eric Xguru Ducharme and Bob Woodard. Jason Lazo opens the show from Southern California's extreme sports zone-Hollywood Sports Park in Bellflower. Using props from the film industry this sports park rolls large with vast paintball and skate zones along with BMX tracks, arcades and other sports fun. Eric enters the paint pens armed with a XC digi cam to record his own demise at the hands of local youth. Tunes and film from Rive Video Promotions with the band Benumb shoving back hard. Eric checks out the BMX track with local rider Danny Downey who tears the track and inverts his Haro at will. Music by Outkast in the piece sweetens the moves. After the break Jason intros a new music video from Maverick records featuring the St. Louis band Story of the Year who kick the show up yet another notch! Then Jason opens the title segment with the new motorized foot motorcycle called the Wheelman. Introduced on a previous Xcorps episode the Wheelman is currently being distributed in the U.S. and our Xguru along with Gravity Games street luge champ Rat Sult are the first to ride the new hubless unit off and on road in this crazy segment. Xcorps Action Sports Show #29.)"MIG-21"-seg.2 HD - The Xcorps goes ballistic in this special supersonic episode featuring host Jason Lazo strapping into a Russian MIG-21 combat jet fighter, host Rat Sult unleashing his new 500HP desert sand rod all powered by music from 4 new rocking bands! The show opens from Stead Air Field near Reno Nevada where host Jason Lazo is walking the line at Mig Alley- called this because of the nest of Russian jet fighter aircraft parked there. It's all about high performance on the Xcorps with Jason looking Top Gun sitting in the original 70s era Mach 2.3 cockpit. The Russian plane is known for its very high performance and terror factor to U.S. fighter pilots! Segment one warms up with some close up shots of the Red Star Squadron jet and some pre-flight briefing by X Rocket pilot Bob Ray who coaches Jason on the finer points of ejection seat etiquette. If the engine quits its time to leave-fast- since the plane nose-dives like a lawn dart without power! Jason checks out the thin wings and BIG engine, which jams the jet over 1300 mph wide open! The show opens with on camera host Jason Lazo dwarfed by the 20-foot tall Pipe-part of 10,000 sq. foot Skate Park in Upland opened to the public in 2002 designed by Steve Alba and California Skate parks Purkiss Rose. Nice action shots here of Steve Alba flying on his board along with other locals catching massive air off the 360-degree concrete tube backed here by tunes and video from the band CLUTCH presented by RIVE. After the break its back to the action at one of the wildest skate zones we have shot! The Upland park is a holy zone modeled after the original Upland skate park of the 1970s originating with the Baldy Flood Control Pipe. X cams roll the action of bank/vert skating starting with a mini-ramp take off ledge rolling into a phat metal coped half-pipe leading into a 20 foot full-pipe and ending in a deep swimming pool size vert bowl. Xcorps Action Sports TV #47 "BIG-AIR" seg.2- HD- The Xcorps rolls another wild show shooting freestyle FMX action with the Red Bull X Riders at the Del Mar Fair in San Diego along with tow-in off-road skateboard jumping in this super X branded show. Jason Lazo hosts and reports opening the show up at the Del Mar Fair in San Diego California at an event called the Red Bull Action Sports Expo featuring the Red Bull X Riders hucking some twisted freestyle Moto X big air moves! Seems like just a few years ago when we shot Mike Metzger pulling the first back flips on a MX bike! Now the XC cameras are rolling on riders like Lance Coury,Jesse Jolson,Destin Cantrell and Tommy Clowers †the New Generation X of MX. Danish rockabilly band Volbeat backs the action with their new video WE delivered by our friends at RIVE. Jason overviews the action and talks to show organizer and promoter Rob Phillips from Podium Productions who gives some details on the event.
