Tan Tunçag, who combines electronica with acoustic elements in his music, embarked on a musical adventure in London, which he continues today, in Turkey. During the years that he lived in London, he played at several clubs and quickly gained a young clubber following. With his different perspective on new electronic music, he caught the attention of Turkish music critiques. Tan Tunçag has become one of the leaders of new cross-platform art in Turkey, he has been writing music for theatre, films, TV and commercials. Tunçag has performed in the same events with prominent DJs and electronica groups such as Plaid, Mouse on Mars, The Orb, and Chemical Brothers.
Deniz Cuylan is best known in Turkey for his "Maya" project whose "Telecine" album was released in 2003. He brings an alternative angle to modern music through his mixture of groovy electronica and jazz. In addition to performing at many popular venues -both at home and abroad- with his band, he also produced music for television, movies, commercials and fashion shows in Düsseldorf and Moscow. In 2004, he completed his solo album "Netame" in collaboration with the well-known illustrator Sadi Güran. Deniz Cuylan is still hosting the radio show "Tirtillar", he is the editor of the alternative lifestyle-music magazine "Bant" and he frequently travels to Stockholm for the recordings of an album with the ethnic-electronic music band, Play.
“Portecho”s fans doubled in number during their performance at Rock’n Coke Festival in September 2006. The band is currently performing in various venues in Turkey.
