  • Citizen Kate Horse Poop & Politics

Citizen Kate Horse Poop & PoliticsNow playingNew episode

Citizen Kate marches with the Iraqi Veterans Against the Iraq War and ends up in a lot of crap as she continues her quest to get questions in the final debate. I've been trying to get questions from viewers, friends and regular citizens in the last Presidential Debate between Barack Obama and John McCain at Hofstra University. I navigated through the campus, CSPAN, BBC, a two-sided protest, and now I found the key to making it happen: Iraqi Veterans Against the Iraq War. A group of Iraqi Vets against the war marched the gates with their demand to get two questions into the debate. We joined efforts so that we could get all of our questions answered from the candidates. Of course, we were met with the resistance from cute cops in uniforms, horses and crap. Seriously. I think I still smell like poop. Or maybe that's the scent of this election? Note to self: Fighting for your cause can sometimes lead to a lot of political shit. Citizens should be allowed to ask questions of the candidates.

Here we are, finally, the last debate, but you'd think that since America is falling apart, that maybe one of us regular Joe's, not Joe the Plumber, would be able to get some access, not so, my friends.

  • Kate Gets Serious with Republicans

Kate Gets Serious with RepublicansNow playingNew episode

That's right! Citizen Kate meets up with some A-list Republicans at the CNN/LA Times/Politico Debate in Simi Valley, California. I can't believe I'm finally meeting Republicans. This calls for some serious tactics so that they know Citizen Kate is serious. I want to be taken serious. It was an amazing time. I spoke with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and almost with Rudy Giuliani. Seriously. Oh. And there was a young girl trying to steal my act. She’s playing the role of Young Citizen Kate. Rudy took her serious. He talked to her. Seriously. Note to self: Republicans aren’t as serious as I thought, but I seriously need to find out more about them.

  • Citizen Kate Hillary Indiana

Citizen Kate Hillary IndianaNow playingNew episode

Citizen Kate cateches up with Old Hollywood Celebrities at a Hillary Clinton event in Indianapolis, Indiana. So, I made it to my first big Hillary event in Indiana. It was a rock concert with John Mellencamp. Actually, he only played one song. I discovered firsthand what local reporters go through at political events. I didn’t get to interview Hillary. But I did see stars like Sean Astin, Rob Reiner, and MIss Indiana. I even chatted with Mary Steenburgen and Ted Danson. I was super clost to Bill Clinton! But not close enough to touch him. When I tried to reach the Clintons after Hillary’s big speech, the volunteers stopped me. Apparently, reporters with cameras aren’t allowed to get too close. Just another day of being a citizen journalist. Note to self: Pretend you’re not a reporter so that you can get better access to candidates.

  • Barack on a Roll

Barack on a RollNow playingNew episode

Citizen Kate discovers the secret to Obama’s success at a rally in Indianapolis. What an amazing night!? I arrived last minute to the Barack Obama rally downtown, and got right in. Finally, people are starting to recognize citizen journalists as the real deal. Despite the rain, it was a warm night filled with good music and super cute secret service agents. And very different from the Hillary rally. Barack lacked the Hollywood super stars, but received a personalized serenade from Stevie Wonder! The energy was undeniably upbeat with a diverse crowd 10 times larger than Hillary's single song Mellencamp experience. I mean, Stevie made it very clear that he's all for Obama. Barack's on a roll. Note to self: Lyrics written about you really increase your popularity in politics. Baaarack Ooobama. Baraack Ooobama.

  • Amishamed We Can't Vote

Amishamed We Can't VoteNow playingNew episode

Citizen Kate spends the day with the Amish and Mennonites in Indiana to discover how they feel about the Voter ID Law, which could take away their right to vote. I spent a wonderful day with my new friends at the Miller Buggy Line Tours and Menno-Hof Center in Shipshewana. The Amish and Mennonites are simple, lovely, and very green people. Al Gore should hang out with them to realize the real inconvenient truth is that this community of super green people people may loose their right to vote. I learned firsthand what this community thinks about voting, the candidates and great leaders. So I spoke with one Amish man, and one liberal Mennonite, Joe Yoder, who's name is all over the town. Yoder's are very popular there. They must love Star Wars! Note to self: Sometimes people choose not to vote. But they should always have the choice.

  • Hot Tips for Winning the Presidential Race

Hot Tips for Winning the Presidential RaceNow playingNew episode

Citizen Kate gets tips on winning the presidential race from the first four time Indy 500 winner AJ Foyt, and his team's Indy 500 driver, Darren Manning. If you want to know how to win, go to people who win for a living. AJ Foyt shared his thoughts with me on what it takes to be a great leader. I even got to spend time with the crew in the pit during practice. My prediction: Darren Manning will win the Indy 500...if the race is judged on looks. The whole AJ Foyt Racing Team is super cute, and I got to hug them all. I should spend more time at the Indy Speedway. Seriously. Good luck, Darren! I'm rooting for you. Note to self: Political campaigns are like race car driving. It takes more than one lap around the track to really get going and win.

  • The Real Hillary: What Happened

The Real Hillary: What HappenedNow playingNew episode

Citizen Kate meets up with some A-list Politicians, including Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John McCain, at the Libertarian National Convention in Denver. I'm so excited. I went to my first big Libertarian event--a masquerade ball. I dressed as the future Lady Liberty. Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning for...freedom. The night was a total blast. Libertarians really know how to party. Wearing masks allows you to be free to say what you want any old time. I poured drinks for freedom, met Presidential elect Bob Barr, and hung with some of this nation's forefathers like Thomas Jefferson and John Adams. I can't believe it! I actually spent most of my evening with Hillary Clinton. A lot of people don't know the real Hillary. But I do. She even sent me a personal email with a secret -- She plans to concede this Saturday. I know that she'll always keep what's best for this nation in mind. And the woman can dance! She's smokin'. Note to self: If your party sucks, go to another. Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, Peace and Freedom. You choose.

  • Obama & Me

    Obama & MeNow playingNew episode

A year in review of Citizen Kate's journey to meet Obama. Many people have asked me why I began this whole citizen journey on the campaign trail. The answer is simple -- to find Obama. He's an icon in my hometown of Chicago. When I heard he was making a possible presidential announcement in Springfield, I was there. I followed Obama to LA, where my hope to meet him was crushed. I went to Iowa and commissioned Duffy Lyon to make a butterhead of Barack. Then to New Hampshire, where David Axelrod admitted I was key to success. I even was in Indiana singing with Stevie Wonder, and so close to shaking Obama's hand. Still no go... Obama, I made your butterhead! Now stop shunning me. Note to self: Politics and Obama, are sweet.

  • The Real Party: Libertarians

The Real Party: LibertariansNow playingNew episode

Citizen Kate finally finds the real party and learns what it takes to be a Libertarian. I was so excited to go to the Libertarian National Convention in Denver. It was liberating compared to some of the other political parties I've been too. Everyone was excited to talk to me. So much so that I spoke with almost every Libertarian Presidential Candidate directly, including the official Libertarian Presidential candidate, Bob Barr, his running mate, Wayne Allyn Root, and the Democratic turned Libertarian candidate, Mike Gravel. I learned firsthand that Libertarians stand for anything to do with personal freedom and less government. It's like they want to elect themselves out of a job eventually, and live a free and prosperous life. What's not to like about Libertarians? They love peace, drugs and rock 'n roll, which of course makes them the best party to go to. Note to self: Become a Libertarian, to say and do whatever you want. Vote Libertarian to "help the other guy win".

  • Everybody Must Get Sconed

Everybody Must Get SconedNow playingNew episode

Citizen Kate finds the key to peace at a Libertarian Pot and Tea party. I went to my first ever pot and tea party sponsored by the Marijuana Project at the Libertarian National Convention in Denver. I was looking for peace. And there's nothing more peaceful than weed. Just ask the Native Americans. They passed around the pipe to stop war. So I ate everything looking for "peace". I wonder if all Libertarian candidates enjoy the peace weed? Can you imagine Bob Barr smoking from the peace pipe? Or Mike Gravel? Or Lady Liberty? Think about it. If we all smoked weed, soldiers in Iraq would be laughing and hugging each other. Peace and hugs. Note to self: We need to stop all wars, including the war on drugs. Even Homeland Security knows that.
